hey friends ~
do not be alarmed, but starting today our brick and mortar store is going to be non-existent for the next 8 weeks.
the long and the short of it is: prior to our BIG move into gallery alexa rose, there were some art exhibitions already scheduled in the space. we had the pleasure of sharing the space with the first two shows (april vandegrift’s illustration showdown in august, and jinny and dennis defoggi in september). however, the shows for october and november are just too big in scope, and don’t leave room for us. and that’s quite alright! here’s why … it will give us time to:
~dedicate to our online business (which has been a virtual placeholder until now) so PLEASE check our site often for new products! and tell your friends!
~create these new products. making and selling things yourself is a delicate balance, and in order to ramp up for the holidays, an 8 week hiatus is welcomed.
~work on our 9+1 pieces for trey mcintyre project‘s incredible show in december.
~design our new space. when we originally moved into the gallery, we spent about 3 hours laying things out and setting things up (knowing that we’d have to take them down again soon). we’re going to spend a lot of time making the space as interesting and comfortable and amazing as we can.
~plan our grand re-opening party for november 12. we have some big ideas, and are getting help from our super talented friends elijah jensen and grant olsen. you’re not going to want to miss this one.
so, that about sums it up. we’ll be in a temporary office space upstairs in the idaho building so if you ever want to come say hi or browse around a makeshift shop or talk about a custom order, we’ll definitely accommodate. just send us an email: bricolageboise (at) gmail (dot) com or call 208.345.3718 and as always, follow us on facebook and twitter for brico-minutia. also check this and our events blog for special events – we have some things planned for october that are only for peeps in the know…
exes and ohs,
